Ruby on Rails Developer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Ruby on Rails Developer to join our fast-growing engineering team at InvarSys. In this role, you will be responsible for building scalable web applications, developing robust backend services, and contributing to innovative digital solutions across our product ecosystem.

You will work closely with frontend developers, product managers, QA engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient applications while leveraging modern technologies and cloud-based deployment environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails

• Build and maintain RESTful APIs, backend services, and integrations

• Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices

• Develop and optimize database structures, queries, and application performance

• Collaborate with frontend, product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver end-to-end solutions

• Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and performance optimization activities

• Ensure application security, scalability, reliability, and high availability

• Work with deployment workflows and cloud-based environments

• Integrate third-party services and external APIs

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Ruby on Rails development

• Strong experience with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, and backend application development

• Solid understanding of REST APIs, GraphQL, microservices architecture, and backend design principles

• Experience working with databases such as PostgreSQL and caching systems like Redis

• Familiarity with frontend technologies including React, TypeScript, Ant Design (AntD), Jest, and React Testing Library

• Experience with background processing frameworks such as Sidekiq Pro

• Strong understanding of testing frameworks like RSpec

• Hands-on experience with GitHub, AWS, CI/CD workflows, and cloud environments

• Familiarity with monitoring and performance tools such as Sentry, FullStory, and Code Climate

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
